Introduction

Are you ready to take on responsibility from day one and work in a fast-moving and entrepreneurial environment? This role will be responsible for the preparation, delivery, and presentation of key financial statements to the Director Accounting. As an Accountant at Pulse, you will manage our day-to-day accounting, tax matters and finance requirements. You are the perfect match, if you have experience in bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles.

Your tasks

You are responsible for our bookkeeping, reviewing, and posting all month-end journals (e.g., accruals, prepayments)
You will process all incoming invoices and track outgoing invoices
You will handle the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
You prepare the year-end audit file and liaise with the external accountant and auditors
You will provide payroll information to an external payroll provider and review the information received before FPS is processed
You are responsible for the preparation of cash-flow statements every week

Your skills

You possess a degree in accounting or business administration and at least 5 years of business experience in a start-up or fast-growing industry
You are qualified or actively studying professional accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, ACA)
You have got experience using accounting software (Sage Business Cloud, Xero). QuickBooks experience is highly desirable
You possess knowledge and experience in preparatory payroll
You are very well organized, can set priorities and work independently with an eye for details
